Content marketing is the creation and distribution of valuable, relevant and consistent content in order to attract and acquire a relevant audience to promote your ROI.
There are 27,000,000 pieces of content shared every day on Facebook. Sadly, in general only 63.4% of content is original. Original or not, content marketing has become one of the top three marketing trends in 2014. Creating and promoting relevant content in your industry has positive impacts for strategic marketing plan.
But how do we share content now-a-days?
The top three types of advertising that have the most impact on buying decision are; television with 83%, magazines 50%, and online 47%. The Consumer Trends Report states that there has been a +27.8% increase in mobile use, +3.5% increase in tablet use, and a -5.5 decrease in computer use. With the increased use of mobile phones and access to the Internet, 65% of all emails are being opened first on a mobile device. Social networking sites have also taken over the Internet scene. The most popular social networking sites are Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. The estimated unique monthly visitors per site are shocking, with Facebook leading the way.
