Connoisseur// A complete branding and mock-up for a quirky wine that plays on sophistication. Hand done illustrations have been completed for the main logo and bottle label. The branding is carried over to compliment the design of the box of wine, which also incorporates a letter press design and hand drawn illustrations.
The concept of the design was a play on the ‘sophistication’ of the modern, everyday wine drinker. Directed towards a younger audience, I wanted to design a bottle of wine that today’s ‘Hipster’ would relish in and choose to take to a social event. I felt the brand needed to have a humorous and lasting impression. The label is meant to easily catch the eye with an ironic hand done effect. I also felt it was important to choose an equally light humored font to accompany the design elements but contrast with the literal meaning of the product.
Pacific Pilsner// Pilsner requested a complete re-design of their current brand that would appeal to a younger generation, but maintain their outdoor feel, so as not to deter their current audience. Pilsner implied an interest in a branding that could be expanded into a series or promotional line.
I created a design that compliments their ‘Caribou’ brand. I used an old fashioned photograph and manipulated the antlers to create a trendy design that is unique, but still maintains the outdoorsy vibe the company takes pride in. Three variations of the main logo are provided to enable visualization of the concepts and to illustrate the ease in which a collectors series could be created.
